Torso Cross over
For the Torso Cross Over, lie down with your back flat against the floor. Keeping your arms out perpendicular to your body, take one leg and cross it over your body as seen in the picture. Hold this position while preventing your shoulders from leaving the floor. In some cases, the arm opposite the leg being crossed over can be used to resist the leg from repulsing back to its normal position. Hold the position for the elapsed time and then switch to the other leg.
This stretch focuses on the lateral side of the leg and the torso. Keeping these muscles loose and relaxed is essential in preventing low back injuries.
