Ali Attari

Ali is a legitimate beast. When Ali first showed up at the bars in Davis, CA, we honestly thought that he was going to be a flake. He struggled pretty hard, and we thought that he was going to be one of those guys that showed up for a few workouts, and then mysteriously stopped coming.

Boy were we wrong. Not only did Ali get his first muscle up with us, but he now can bust out 10+! He even had enough determination to stick with it and conquer the back lever in only a few months.

Ali changed his diet and lifestyle, as he now trains everyday in Jiu-Jutsu as well.

Ali told me that he was once a video game nerd who spent days indoors in his homeland. Now, he is a Ryan Gosling looking BOSS!

Craig Fernandez

Representing New Zealand, Craig and his Alphastarzz team puts in work. 

As a competitive swimmer, Craig has always been in shape, and he came to us a little overweight, but still strong and athletic. Craig is improving every day as he has a great back lever, handstand, and explosive muscle up.

Kyle Bozarth

Hailing from San Jose, California, Kyle has been following the California Calisthenics workout system for 3 months now. Even in this short time, Kyle has seen great gains  throughout his body, especially in his delts, triceps, and abs.

As an active member of the U.S. Army, Kyle requires functional strength and has no time for 2 hour bulking sessions in the gym. Instead, he hits the bars at his local community center, gets in a quick workout, and goes back to work, serving the country.

In order to get to this point, Kyle had to undergo a life style change. He cut back on excessive drinking, ate more whole foods, and came up with a strict workout schedule. Now that he is in the best shape of his life, Kyle not only looks great, but has more confidence in his day to day activities.

We know Kyle is not done with his growth, and we will let you know how his transformation progresses!

Justin's 6 month Transformation
The week after I graduated from Davis, my personal health hit rock bottom. I had always had stomach problems growing up and was softly diagnosed with crones disease. It hit me in episodes where I would spend a couple days in the bathroom roughly five to six times a year. That week I had my worst episode yet, In a matter of four days, I lost 12 pounds and was rushed to the hospital. Once I recovered, I knew it was time for a change. I needed to take control of my stomach problems and find a way to get healthy. My solution was simple, get back in shape and overhaul my diet.

This is where Abe came in. After spending that entire week of rock bottom with me and seeing how I was ready for a change, he made it his personal goal to get me back into shape.
Abe was a recent grad as well, and with neither of us having access to the college gym anymore, he had moved into working out through calisthenics. I had always enjoyed the idea of using my natural body weight to get fit; in fact, I considered myself somewhat of a pull up specialist. Even though, I always worked out in a gym, I never really liked the idea of a it - cooped up in a room that reeks of B.O. with everyone constantly staring at you.

Abe pushed me to go out to the local park every day and exercise with him. It started as simple as pull ups, push ups, and dips using whatever the park offered us. I fell in love with the idea, it was free and it allowed me to spend time outdoors. 



After only 6 months of intensive training, I have reached my goal in achieving the body I want and deserve. However, I am always striving to improve and build more lean muscle mass.


Abe Matsui

Sitting in a damp, crowded locker room, my back ached as I bent over to open my locker where I had miraculously stuffed my skateboard, backpack and street clothes. As I walked out of the gym, concerned about the tingle growing in the back of my throat, I noticed an even greater annoyance: that "gym buddy" that is always trying to convince me to try his pre-workout pump blend is walking over towards me, waving his hand. 30 minutes later as I finally reach my car, I realize how miserable I feel. I have been going to a gym for the past 4 years and have seen nominal gains.   


Even though my weight was increasing, I noticed no difference in the definition of my muscles, particularly my abs. While my arms and legs may have been getting bigger, I was looking bulkier. I was not gaining lean muscle mass. 


Upon graduating college, I lost access to my school gym, and it was the first time in my life that I had no access to weights. Coincidentally, I also had no job, as I began studying for the Law School Aptitude Test. In an attempt to save money, I designed a workout regimen that would enable me to stay in shape using public exercise equipment. 1 year later, I am in the best shape of my life-- aesthetically and physically and getting stronger every day!
