Lat Pull Down With Bands
For the Lat Pull Down with Bands, First attach a set of bands to a pull up bar or structure that is about 8 feet above the ground. Next, stand about 2 feet away from the free hanging band and grip it with your palms facing in towards each other. Initiate the exercise by pulling the band down under tension from the height of your shoulders all the way to below your hips, To perform this exercise properly, maintain a rigid body by tensing your core and try not to allow your arms to bend. Perform this motion until you can no longer do any more and then rest.
This exercise focuses on the lats. the lats are the main muscle responsible for adducting the arms back towards its midline. Other muscles like pectoralis major and the teres muscles assist in this action as well. Because of the importance of maintaining a rigid body, the core is also activated when performing this exercise.
