Hip Flexor Stretch

For the Hip Flexor Stretch, stagger your feet out wide with both your toes and hips facing forward. Keeping your chest vertical, bend your front leg and drive your hips towards the ground. To enhance the stretch, keep the back foot planted firmly on the ground the leg as straight as possible. Your arms can be positioned at your sides, on your hips, or rested on your head as shown in the picture. Hold the stretch for the elapsed time and repeat with the opposite leg.
This stretch focuses on the hip flexor muscles of the side being stretched. With a planted back foot, the stretch with also involve the calf muscles.
